Why doesn’t Microsoft provide complete Registry Cleaning Software?

This is a problem and responsibility that Microsoft should consider. Registry’s are essential to every computer and while the OS tries it’s best with handling the registry, errors and unwanted material can grow after a short while.

Many others market a complete registry cleaner, but many will experience some problems, and plus it might have scareware or malware. That’s because Microsoft knows more about it’s products than anyone else. Microsoft does provide a free tool, but it only scans for viruses, defrags, and scans your registry. It does very little to correct the registry. And its by far not a complete registry cleaner.

As a reputable world giant in computer software. Since Windows Registry is to do with Microsoft. I think they should. AVG, Mc Afee, Norton, are probably the ones you might trust much more than anyone else since these 3 companies are reputable and have high standards. But it’s not like Microsoft issues a certificate with their software telling it’s safe to use on their windows computer.

It would be nice if Microsoft considered this. If they did bring a proper one out, it would be much safer than anyone else that provides this software. Plus they could earn more since registry cleaners are in high demand.

They don’t do it because “registry cleaning” is a gimmick and does not affect performance. All a registry cleaner does is look for obsolete entries in the registry and then gives you the option to delete them. Registry cleaners don’t fix anything, they can’t edit, write, modify data. They can’t change any settings. What a registry cleaner calls an error is meaningless. There is always demand for programs that claim to fix or speed up a computer since people generally don’t understand what slows a computer or causes problems in the first place.
